47 Philadelphia Eagles who are certain to make the initial 53-man roster

We've known who most of the locks are for a while now. There are about six roster spots to be determined.

Three preseason games are gone. We know the drill now. It's on to roster cuts. The deadline to trim the squad to 53 men is 4 pm EST on Tuesday, July 27. We expect surprises as always, though this time we don't expect any undrafted rookies to make the team.

The top half of the Eagles' roster is solid. If no one gets injured, this team will win a lot of games, but you can't bank on an injury-free season ever. Hopefully the reserves are ready if called upon.

In the meantime, arguments can be made that the Eagles field stars at every position. They have nothing to worry about come Tuesday. Here's a look at everyone that qualifies and some of the other locks to make the roster.

We can safely assume that 48 Eagles roster spots were filled before the final preseason game.

Preseason is the same grind for most NFL teams. Much of the roster is set. Three games will determine the winners of a handful of spots.

We think we know who the lucky Birds are with Tuesday's deadline approaching, but we'll save that for a roster prediction. Here is a look at all of the locks.

In years past, there hasn't been much help for Dallas Goedert or a reasonable replacement when he has been injured, but Grant Calcaterra has steadily improved. If his training camp and preseason showings are any indication, he may have turned the corner en route to a pretty impressive regular season.
