Jake Elliott, kicker

An NFL kicker's responsibilities during a game are both unpredictable and abrupt. They may be relegated to kicking extra points one week. They may be tasked with making multiple field goal attempts or kicking a game-winner the next. No one knows that better than Jake Elliott.

Here is a field goal Jake Elliott made that won a game in overtime for Philly against the Washington Commanders previously on October 2.

Elliott has been nearly perfect thus far on field goals and extra points through the first 13 games of 2023. His lone misses were field goal attempts in Week 2 and Week 6 versus the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, respectively.

Elliott was arguably the league's most active kicker through the first five weeks of the 2023 NFL season. Try 17 field goals and 12 extra-point attempts during this span on for size. Versus the Vikings, he tied his career-long field goal with another 61-yarder. He's as clutch as it gets.

He has been a part of some memorable moments. See his game-winner versus the Giants as a rookie and his field goal made late in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LII if you need examples.

Nobody knows when (or if) a kicker will be called upon and asked to be clutch. No moment is too big for Number 4. He has proven himself capable during his seven-year career. He may need to do so again during the regular season's final four games. We trust he's the man to get the job done if that happens.
