5 Eagles staring at a phenomenal opportunity to earn their 1st Pro Bowl nomination in 2023

  • Eight Eagles were voted onto the Pro Bowl roster last season.
  • Some say there should have been more.
  • This time, we're expecting to see some first-timers.

The NFL's All-Star Weekend doesn't draw the same audience we see for the NBA's version, but it's always fun to see if there are any Eagles on the roster.

Don't ask us why this conversation came up recently. Maybe we were bored, but while hanging out with some friends, a discussion began, and a couple of questions were asked. How can the NFL be so popular and, at the same time, be so clueless about how to put some all-star festivities together? How can seeing Philadelphia Eagles on the Pro Bowl roster be the best part of the Pro Bowl experience?

Every year, the NBA knocks its All-Star Weekend out of the park, even if the Slam Dunk Contest isn't what it used to be. Heck, Major League Baseball's product isn't too shabby either, but the Pro Bowl hasn't been interesting since Sean Taylor decided he'd start knocking some guys out. His teammates weren't even safe.

The NFL has tried everything from hosting a game in Hawaii to showcasing a flag football game last time around. Maybe they'll figure something out. Maybe they won't. In the meantime, counting the number of Philadelphia Eagles on the Pro Bowl roster remains the best part of the Pro Bowl experience.

This time around, we're beating the drum for a handful of our guys who have shamelessly been snubbed for their entire careers.
