Justin Evans, safety

We have said it before. We will say it again. The Eagles typically keep five safeties on their roster. There are five safeties on the roster currently, but one can never rule out the possibility of a late addition. Thoughts like that, however, make the mind wander.

We're assuming Terrell Edmunds, Reed Blankenship, and Sydney Brown will make this roster. That means K'Von Wallace and Justin Evans are at the bottom of the totem pole and staring up at everyone else.

Here's the problem that Evans has. K'Von has been a part of this team for three NFL seasons and could get the nod due to the coaching staff's familiarity with him.

Devon Allen, wide receiver

The Eagles have the best starting duo at wide receiver in the league. There is a noticeable drop-off in talent when we look past them to the backups.

Quez Watkins may have relinquished his role as WR3 to Olamide Zaccheaus, but both will make the team. If six wideouts are carried on the 53-man roster, which is highly likely, Devon Allen has a tough hill to climb for a roster spot, especially when he just missed the entire OTA session.
