T.J. Edwards, linebacker

We have discussed the Eagles' revolving door at linebacker with such frequency that, at this point, there are seemingly rarely new angles to take on the topic. Still, we can't help but scratch our heads when thinking of T.J. Edwards.

A rare breed for many reasons, T.J. was an undrafted signee and homegrown talent that worked his way into the starting lineup and, last year led Philly in tackles. Here is what we have learned.

If he couldn't convince the team to give him an extension, it's probably safe to say the linebacker position will never be of premium value under Howie Roseman's watch. Seriously, they couldn't give this guy $6.5 million per season?

Jordan Hicks, linebacker

Before there was Edwards, there was Jordan Hicks... He was another homegrown talent, one taken in Round 3 of the 2015 NFL Draft. Talk about memorable moments. There was the knockout shot on Tony Romo, the pick-six in primetime versus the hated Dallas Cowboys, and all of the random injuries.

Philly moved on from Hicks after the 2018 NFL season, partially because of concerns about his inability to stay healthy. Wouldn't you know it? Since his exit, he has been almost indestructible.
