7 Eagles who are climbing the training camp depth chart, one playing with a chip on his shoulder

  • Guys are climbing the Eagles depth chart.
  • A much maligned veteran is playing with a new edge and focus.
  • If this translates to game days, Philly will be scary.

Joseph Ngata, wide receiver

Rookie receiver Joseph Ngata hails from 'Wide Receiver U' a.k.a Clemson. That won't win him a job. Making the most of his opportunities is the only way he'll get that done. So far so good on that front.

Ngata is already enjoying some 'wow' moments in camp after earning some attention during the spring. His top highlight so far was a 50/50 snag he soared to haul in over 2023 fourth-round draftee Kelee Ringo. Can he make the 53-man roster? Only time will tell, but it won't be easy.

Dennis Kelly, swing tackle?

Dennis Kelly is a former Eagle that learned at the foot of Howard Mudd and Jeff Stoutland. He has often said that, after being traded to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for Dorial Green-Beckham, he took the lessons learned with him forever.

Kelly, Lane Johnson, and Jason Kelce are all very close. They kept in touch and are now reunited. We all know that Stout loves versatile linemen, and Kelly seems to have found his role. He'll make the team and will probably do so as a swing tackle that can back up both Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
