As training camp rolls on, many of the young Philadelphia Eagle continue to gain the trust of their coaches, but we'd like to see more from two of the question marks.

Both of our question marks play the quarterback position, Marcus Mariota and Ian Book.

They used to say that oftentimes the most popular player on every NFL team is the backup quarterback. That certainly isn't the case in the City of Brotherly Love. Make no mistake. This is Jalen Hurts world, and everyone else is trying to make those daily rent payments to stay in it.

The backup quarterback, Marcus Mariota, is pretty popular, but outside of a good day on Wednesday, he hasn't impressed much. He occupies the QB2 role, but there is reason for concern if Jalen misses any time.

Rookie Tanner McKee is outperforming Ian Book. We'll learn more about both as the preseason wears on, but don't be shocked if McKee lands the QB3 gig. Heck, at the rate things are going, don't be shocked if he upstaged Marcus Mariota at some point during the season.

Place Kenneth Gainwell on a list of young Eagles who are earning the trust of their coaches.

The Eagles coaching staff is impressed with Kenneth Gainwell, as are we. We haven't seen every drill, but it appears Nick Sirianni and his staff trusts him in two-minute situations. He'll get work all year, but we may have learned a lot about what his role is.
