7 realistic free agents the Eagles could sign in 2024
Calvin Ridley, wide receiver, Jaguars
Those of you who are die-hards remember the Eagles interest in Calvin Ridley being a thing. Thank Heaven that didn't work out. A.J. Brown wouldn't be here had Philly acquired him.
One suspension and a stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars later, Ridley might be one of the more sought-after guys on the free-agent market once Michael Pittman Jr., Marquise Brown, and Mike Evans get scooped up now that Tee Higgins will be given the franchise tag by the Cincinatti Bengals.
Ridley got off to a slow start this past season. Maybe he was rusty, but once he warmed up, he proved relatively quickly that the playmaking ability hadn't gone anywhere.
Worth mentioning: Running backs Zack Moss, A.J. Dillon, and Devin Singletary
It's hard to remember where we heard this first, but we've heard J.K. Dobbins' name connected to the Eagles a lot as of late. He's been injured often, but he also enjoyed a nice campaign during the most recent Baltimore Ravens season. Those injury concerns keep throwing us off though.
It's for that reason that we'd like to introduce Zack Moss, A.J. Dillon, and Devin Singletary into the discussion. They intrigue us if Philly doesn't extend D'Andre Swift, which is honestly the better option.
Moss proved he can carry the load in Jonathan Taylor's absence (Colts). Dillon isn't going to win a foot race, but he's money in short-yardage and goal-line situations. Devin Singletary might be better than all of these guys.
Philly has one tailback from last year's roster signed for 2024 (Kenneth Gainwell). Expect them to be active in free agency.
