Another expected plot twist comes in James Bradberry's Eagles saga

We've honestly been hopeful that James Bradberry would prove our analysis of him wrong, but for now, all of that is going to have to wait.

Before we utter or type another word, let's make something clear. Though we know injuries can't be avoided, we hate having to report or discuss them. We'd never wish them on anyone, so even though we're confused about why James Bradberry is still on the Philadelphia Eagles roster, we hate hearing another setback has come to disrupt his journey.

It appears James is going to miss some time. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports he has suffered a lower leg injury involving a tendon. This one comes at an Eagles' practice held about the same time their initial practice squad members were announced.

Though the prognosis isn't good (he's expected to miss 6-8 weeks), there is something positive to share. His injury won't require surgery.

We wish James Bradberry a speedy recovery!

And, there you have it! Trade rumors have been paused. A trip to the injured reserve is possible, but keep in mind the fact that Philly has already placed Ainis Smith, Tyler Hall, and Albert Okwuegbunam there.

Let's say James's expected timetable for return is accurate. If so, nine games may have already evaporated. The NFL Trade Deadline (November 3) will also have already passed.

Then again, if we're being honest, his trade value seems relatively nonexistent. Opposing teams will be even less inclined to take a chance on him following some ugly football and another injury,

Right now, that isn't the point though. As much as we complained about his performance and the decision to keep him on the roster, we were pulling for him. He's one of us! He's an Eagle! We wanted him to prove us wrong.

He'll get his chance at some point. It won't be for several weeks, but we'll continue cheering for him. How could you not pull for him personally? He's the utmost professional.

This is a setback. He's overcome them before. We'll continue to hope that he does so again. We're pulling for you James! get better soon!
