The Philadelphia Eagles will take a quick trip on the train to Landover, MD, to play the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field.

Anytime these two teams play each other, fans and bettors alike have to be prepared to expect the unexpected. Heading into this week’s matchup, I found two Eagles props that should stuff bettors’ pockets, along with a mispriced Commanders prop.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Commanders in Week 8

  • Dallas Goedert OVER 40.5 receiving yards
  • D’Andre Swift OVER 62.5 rushing yards
  • Terry McLaurin OVER 4.5 receptions

Dallas Goedert OVER 40.5 receiving yards

Dallas Goedert has been on a tear lately, averaging 78.7 receiving yards per game in his last three games. The veteran pass catcher is being utilized early and often in the Eagles’ passing game, which is paying huge dividends.

I expect that to continue against the Commanders on Sunday, who are ranked 24th in DVOA-TE and allowing 47.4 receiving yards per game this season, per ftnfantasy.com. The last time the Eagles played the Commanders in Week 4, Goedert only had two receptions (four targets) for 25 yards. Since that game, Washington’s defense has allowed 98 yards to Giants TE Darren Waller and 79 yards to the Falcons TE duo of Jonnu Smith/Kyle Pitts.

D’Andre Swift OVER 62.5 rushing yards

The 24-year-old Swift is having a nice 2023 season with his hometown team. The former Lions running back has 514 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 101 carries and is averaging a career-best 5.1 yards per carry.

Swift is coming off a solid performance against the Dolphins last week, where he had 62 yards on 15 carries (4.1 yards per carry). Swift will try to build off that against Washington’s defense, which has allowed 130 rushing yards per game over their last three games and 147 yards a game at home this season.

When Swift faced the Commanders in Week 4, he recorded 56 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. I like the young running back to rip off a couple of long runs behind one of the best offensive lines in football.

Terry McLaurin OVER 4.5 receptions

Commanders QB Sam Howell has leaned on standout wide receiver Terry McLaurin a lot throughout this season. McLaurin leads the team in receptions (37), targets (51) and yards (432).

The 6-foot wide receiver has gone over 4.5 receptions in five out of seven games, including the Commanders’ Week 4 loss to the Eagles. In that game, McLaurin produced eight receptions (10 targets) for 86 yards. He will go over this number on Sunday against an improving Eagles’ secondary, but they still have given up the most receptions to wide receivers this season.
