Year four of DeVonta Smith's tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles nears. He is already one of the City of Brotherly Love's favorite adopted sons. Making it clear that he didn't want to play in New York helped that to some degree, but hosting these celebrity softball games won't hurt the cause.

Birds fans spent an afternoon in Allentown hanging out to see Team Smith tackle Team Owens on the baseball diamond. Team Smith, spearheaded by a 4-for-4 afternoon by its captain walked away with a 16-6 victory. DeVonta also smashed two home runs on the afternoon.

His second followed a homer by teammate A.J. Brown as his side cranked out two in a row. Coca-Cola Stadium, the home of the Phillies’ Triple-A affiliate Allentown Iron Pigs was the site of a great day for fans in attendance.

Check out some of the highlights of DeVonta Smith's third annual celebrity softball game.

Coca-Cola Stadium was at about 80% capacity. Built to seat 10,100, there were a recorded 8,000 fans in attendance. The Slim Reaper seems happy with the turnout (thank Sports Illustrated's Ed Kracz for the quote).

“It’s amazing, man. Every year it seems like the crowd gets bigger and bigger, so that means we’re doing something right. Ultimately, to me, it’s just letting everybody come out and have a good time and enjoy themselves.”

A new home run derby champion was crowned. Dallas Goedert, last year's champion wasn't present. That gave way to allowing Isaiah Rodgers to take the crown. Hmmm... There goes that guy again. Is there anything that he can't do?

Rodgers cranked out 12 homers during the derby (seven in Round 1 and five in Round 2). No one else was able to crank out double digits. Check out some of the highlights.

That's a wrap from Allentown. Training camp approaches. Here's to a great football season and a special tip of the cap to DeVonta for putting this together.
