Darius Slay shares a Kellen Moore memory and his potential impact on Jalen Hurts
Raise your hand if you've grown weary of podcasts. Trust us! We get it! How many are there? 6 million? Frankly, we're just looking for some Philadelphia Eagles content, and with a team this popular, it can be tough to try and wade through all of the drops that are available.
Could we venture to say that most of the ones we have listened to have resulted in us wasting our time? Or, is that too harsh? If you know of any, send us a few. We'll do the same. Here's one that you can start with, Big Play Slay... It features... Well... Darius 'Big Play' Slay.
Don't get us wrong. While we may suffer from podcast fatigue, there are certainly a few we enjoy watching, and our guy Slay is absolutely in the weekly rotation! One of the more recent airings requires your attention.
Darius Slay gives new Eagles OC Kellen Moore and Philly's QB1 Jalen Hurts a tip of the cap.
It sure took long enough for another Eagles season to roll around, but now, that it's here, we find ourselves spending hours consuming as much content as possible. Someone as entertaining as Slay certainly grabs our attention when he steps in front of the microphone.
Following a few hours of digesting all of the fallout from a day that doubled as the backdrop for an Eagles/Patriots joint practice session, we were a little dizzy, but 30 minutes of Darius Slay speaking woke us up. This time around, he discussed why Jerry Jones should be more like Howie Roseman, an Eagles vs. Ravens reaction, and of course Philly's offense.
Admittedly, the Kellen Moore hire made us go back and watch a few Dallas Cowboys games that featured him as offensive coordinator. As much as we hate the so-called 'America's Team'. we have to admit what we're seeing gave us quite the adrenaline rush.
Jalen Hurts was one of the favorites to win the MVP trophy deep into last season and the one that preceded it. Playing in a system that will open things up more than we saw last season should place him back in the discussion again and hopefully spearhead a deep postseason run by the time we arrive in January.
