Devin White inserts himself in conversations as one of the Eagles' new leaders

We haven't asked every NFL star this, but we have asked a few. All have had the same answer. It doesn't get much better than being considered by one of your coaches to be a 'coach on the field'. That's what the Philadelphia Eagles are hoping they'll get with the addition of Devin White.

You know what? Something tells us they have hit the jackpot. Something tells us that we'll look back here soon, maybe a few weeks into the season, and we'll state this is one of those underrated signings that helped transform this Eagles defense.

Things didn't end in Tampa how he wanted, but he has a second chance hear in Philly. He's already showing he's a leader.

Devin White has a group chat with two Eagles 2023 team captains that he calls 'Accountability'.

Following the second training camp practice, the Philly media earned its opportunity to hang out with Devin White for a few ticks. It was fun to pick his brain. The topics ranged from practice to the coming season before venturing into, of course, leadership.

He was an interesting listen for about ten minutes. Something he said really stuck out. Upon his arrival in Philly, he started a group chat with two team captains for the 2023 season, Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown.

The group chat name? 'Accountability'...

Drafted fifth-overall during the 2019 NFL Draft, White has already seen a whirlwind professional football career. He was one of the best players on the field for a Bucs Super Bowl win. He was also benched during the most recent playoffs despite being fully healthy.

The change of scenery and his inclusion on this Eagles roster will do him good. Just wait and see. By the looks of things, he already has the right mindset.
