Devon Allen finally enjoys his Eagles preseason moment
Well, it's doubtful that he'll make the team, but Devon Allen isn't going to go away quietly. The Philadelphia Eagles' two-time Olympian has his moment. Some might say it took long enough, but hey, what are you going to do? All you can ask is that players make the most of their opportunities, and the former Oregon Duck certainly did that.
Things started ugly, but sometimes an ugly ducking, or in this case, a bobble on a kick-off, can blossom into a beautifful swan i.e. a 73-yard return.
Just watch this one. Appreciate the beauty.
The Eagles are flying high early in the preseason finale.
The Eagles only dressed two running backs for this one, Trey Sermon and Kennedy Brooks. The former has already made his impression felt.
The fan-favorite punched on in for six points just six plays after Allen's return. Check out the visual.
That's Sermon's third rushing TD in as many games. We don't normally expect fireworks in a preseason affair, but so far, so good at Lincoln Financial Field. The Birds are flying early in the finale.
Marcus Mariota led the Eagles' first drive. His night is over. Tanner McKee took the field for Philly's second offensive series. He and Ian Book will get a lot of work as they lead Philadelphia's offense in this one.
Who would have thought? Games that have no bearing on your favorite team's win-loss total can still be loads of fun to watch.
