DeVonta Smith's 2nd TD of 2023 is a bright spot in another costly Eagles affair
Well, you have to give the Minnesota Vikings some credit. There have been discussions all offseason about whether or not they overachieved. They laid the proverbial egg versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in Week 2 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, in Philly's home opener, they are throwing some well-timed blows. So far, it appears that the Birds may deliver the knockout shot.
It hasn't been the well-oiled machine that we grew so accustomed to last season, but the Eagles have delivered some highlight-reel moments. One came with a little over 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter.
Just watch this one. Appreciate the beauty.
Wow that was nice. That's something the Eagles can build on heading onto an 11-day break (their next game is on September 25th on Monday Night Football. They'll need the rest as this has been a costly affair.
The Eagles lose a few more players in prime time versus the Vikings.
It's been a brutal five-day span. The Eagles lost Nakobe Dean, Reed Blankenship, Kenneth Gainwell, and James Bradberry in Week 1. Week 2 has been another physically demanding game.
Quez Watkins was lost two a hamstring injury. Avonte Maddox, the victim of what appeared to be some friendly fire, was lost early with an injury of his own. Then, there's Philly's lick returner, Boston Scott.
The Giant Killer left during the third quarter and was evaluated for a concussion. Fingers are crossed this way that everyone will be alright. Hopefully, none of these injuries are serious.
