Another training camp approaches, and that means guys are looking to extend their stay in Philly with the Eagles.

It's been a long time since current Philadelphia Eagles stars like Jalen Hurts, Darius Slay, and A.J. Brown have had to chew on their fingernails when team roster cuts rolled around. Then again, they may have never had to do so. Sadly, that isn't everyone's story. Another training camp approaches and some inner-squad competition is expected to help us smooth out a few questions about the roster.

The top half of the depth chart is set with the exception of a reserve here or a depth piece there. For the most part, we're trying to determine who players 43 through 53 are (and who will occupy the 15 available spots on the practice squad).

Last year, three undrafted free agents snuck onto the gameday roster. Might we see a similar scenario? It seems unlikely, especially with so many guys fighting to extend their NFL careers.

Josiah Scott, cornerback

Coaches put their players in the best position to be successful (or at least they should). Players are then asked to make the most of their opportunities. Last year, Josiah Scott didn't get the job done, and now he's the backup slot corner's backup.

Zech McPhearson is now ahead of Scott on the depth chart. That could lead to Josiah being left off of the roster, but trust us when we tell you that he isn't the only player in that unenviable position. Here are 11 more Birds who are trying to shed the label of 'bubble player'.
