Eagles 53-man roster and 16-man practice squad projection following preseason finale
Cornerbacks (6)
Darius Slay, James Bradberry, Avonte Maddox, Kelee Ringo, Josh Jobe, Mekhi Garner
Mario Goodrich, and Eli Ricks have nothing to hang their heads about following great camps as rookies, but Philly needs a slot corner. With Zech McPhearson injured, one of the best ones they have is still Josiah Scott. The Eagles like him more than most of the fans do.
Then again, maybe all of that work with James Bradberry in the slot wasn't for no reason. If Avonte gets hurt, might we see James on the inside and one of the young guys play on the outside?
Nah... We doubt that, but we wanted to play devil's advocate here... or play 'mad scientists'. You guys can argue among yourselves about which one's the better description.
Safeties (5)
K'Von Wallace, Reed Blankenship, Terrell Edmunds, Sydney Brown, Justin Evans
The game seems to have slowed down for K'Von Wallace. He has been given a new start thanks to Sean Desai. We'll keep all five of Philly's safeties for now despite the fact that they seemingly still need one that can cover.
Specialists (3)
Jake Elliott - kicker, Arryn Siposs -punter, Rick Lovato - long snapper
Practice squad (16)
16 guys are on the practice squad. Here's a guess at what it might look like, for now. Again, don't be shocked if the names on this list change between now and Tuesday.
