We have all but determined who the locks are to make the Eagles roster. We're simply trying to determine who those reserve guys are.

We just couldn't help ourselves. Heck, don't act like it's just us. Philadelphia Eagles training camp is just beginning. One practice is in the books at the time of this story being published. Eight remain, and as you might expect, it has been hard to avoid looking too far ahead.

Some of the familiar faces are all but assured of jobs. We know who those guys are. Jalen Hurts is going to make the team. So are guys like Jalen Carter, James Bradberry, and A.J. Brown among others.

Philly is both loaded and talented on both sides of the ball, but depth is needed. It's going to be hard for many of the guys on the back half of the depth chart to make the 53-man roster though. Much will change between now and September, but here's an early guess on what the 2023 Eagles might look like.

Quarterbacks (3):

Jalen Hurts, Marcus Mariota, Tanner McKee

There aren't any surprises here unless you're of the opinion that Ian Book will beat out Tanner McKee for the QB3 role. Jalen Hurts returns for his third full season as the starter after signing a massive extension. Let the good times roll. Let's talk about the rest of the offense.
