Eagles 53-man roster and practice squad projection: Training camp edition
Cornerbacks (6)
Darius Slay, James Bradberry, Avonte Maddox, Kelee Ringo, Zech McPhearson, Josh Jobe
The Eagles often carry five safeties and six cornerbacks on the 53-man roster. We'll hold true to that theory here. Josh Jobe played a significant role on special teams last season while playing 220 ST snaps, roughly 76% of Philly's total. It's for that reason we have given him the sixth slot ahead of Greedy Williams.
Safeties (4)
Terrell Edmunds, Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown, Justin Evans
The Eagles have been known to add defensive backs late in the roster-building process. Our fingers are crossed in hopes that they'll do so again.
For now, we'll finally end the K'Von Wallace experiment and leave a spot open, but Reed Blankenship, Terrell Edmunds, Sydney Brown, and Justin Evans are safe in terms of potential roster cuts.
Specialists (3)
Jake Elliott (kicker), Rick Lovato (long snapper), and punter to be named later,
It didn't take much to figure this one out. Jake Elliott and Rick Lovato are two of the best in the business at their respective positions. Its hard to roll with Arryn Siposs. Plus Howard Eskin believes the Birds will have added someone by Week 1. We hope he's right as Ty Zentner hasn't been much more impressive with limited opportunities.
