It's official! Deon Cain is back! His signing was officially announced on July 26th ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles' first training camp practice, confirming what we had already heard a day or so earlier. The Birds made two other roster moves on Wednesday as well. This comes less than 24 hours after they made mention of some shuffling that occurred when players reported for work on Tuesday.

Take a deep breath. Footbal is back, and we figure to be busy from now until, hopefully, February. Fingers are crossed in hopes that the Birds can get back to football's biggest game and win it this time. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. It's only July.

Here's a look at the changes the Eagles have made since players reported to training camp on July 25th.

Philly's track star is placed on the non-football injury list. A talented tight end is released. Another wide receiver is added. Welcome to Eagles training camp.

Devon Allen heads to the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List.

Might we be talking about an injury here, or is Philly stashing Devon Allen away with intentions of keeping him around without using a roster spot? The Eagles' resident track star missed OTAs while competing elsewhere but may be running out of opportunities to make this roster.

Eagles sign Dennis Kelly on July 25th.

Dennis Kelly is a ten-year NFL veteran who began his career with the Eagles. He returns on a one-year deal, but after battling recent injuries, he isn't assured of anything.

Matt Leo heads to Reserve/Retired list.

Matt Leo played college football at Iowa State for the Cyclones and joined Philadelphia as a part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program in 2020. It appears he may be headed for retirement.

Eagles officially sign WR Deon Cain.

Deon Cain played well during the preseason last year. A nice showing versus the Cleveland Browns highlighted his summer, but he was released during final roster cuts. After improving his resume in the USFL as a part of the Birmingham Stallions, he is attempting to make good on another chance.

Dalton Keene is released.

To make room for Cain, the Eagles have announced Dalton Keene's release. Philly's tight end room now houses six players: Dallas Goedert, Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra, Tyree Jackson, Dan Arnold, and Brady Russell.

The following players missed the first practice session of training camp.

Hasson Reddick missed the first session due to groin soreness. He is expected to be back at work this weekend. Derek Barnett is dealing with a knee issue. Avonte Maddox has a toe. Both practiced on Wednesday in a limited capacity.
