Can someone other than A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith step up at wide receiver?

We’ll stick out our chests and say what some of you think. Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill are phenomenal, but route for route and play for play, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are still the best starting wide receiver duo in the National Football League. In 2021, as a rookie, DeVonta set the Eagles' franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie. We asked what he'd do for an encore after A.J. joined the nest, and he responded by setting the franchise record for receptions by a wideout (95). Zach Ertz still owns the record for total receptions (116).

A.J., on the other side of the formation, was busy setting the franchise record for receiving yards (1,496).  Now, we just have to find their WR3.

Quez Watkins had an opportunity to seize that job a season ago. Instead, he took a step backward. Philly's brass has shown confidence in him publicly, but if we're being honest, everyone is nervous.

Past those three, the Birds walk into training camp with Devon Allen, Tyrie Cleveland, Britain Covey, Jadon Haselwood, Joseph Ngata, Charleston Rambo, Greg Ward, and Olamide Zaccheaus. There are a lot of bodies there but no real answers.

Fasten those seatbelts. The Eagles' battle at wide receiver will be one of the most intriguing we witness during camp.
