How confident are we in the Eagles at the safety position?

The Eagles approach another training camp with five listed safeties on the roster: Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown, Terrell Edmunds, Justin Evans, and K'Von Wallace. There aren't a lot of bodies. Most believe in Reed. Those of you who are concerned about Brown and Edmunds will be reasonably surprised by what you see from both. Those are all facts, but there are also two sides to every coin.

Why do we still feel like something is missing from this unit though? Is it because we can also successfully make arguments for being concerned?

We love Reed. Truly we do, but he still has a lot to prove. Undrafted free agents often are undrafted for a reason.

Wallace hasn't become what we hoped he'd be, and honestly, had Philly believed totally in Evans and Edmunds, they probably would have given them longer deals, right? It isn't disrespectful to state they're fighting for their NFL lives.

Knowing Howie Roseman, we can't rule out the possibility of him adding another player sometime during the summer. No one would object because, with all due respect, safety might still be the weakest unit on Philadelphia's roster.
