Eagles star Dallas Godert is head and shoulders above the NFC East's tight ends, but the rivals have some ballers too.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the king of the Dakotas in Dallas Goedert. The Dallas Cowboys are home to the unremarkable Jake Ferguson. Meanwhile, the New York Giants traded for a guy whose right leg has the durability of an overcooked spaghetti noodle in Darren Waller, and the Washington Commanders are committed to staying ruthlessly mediocre at the tight end position with their starter Logan Thomas.

It’s hard to dislike someone with a huge personality at the tight end position. All of the guys named here are dudes. They get in the dirt. They don’t demand a spotlight, but what will matter most for their respective teams is the production and how they perform.

The NFC East's starting tight ends are a pretty strong group, especially when compared to those in other divisions, but one of these four guys has to top the list. Someone must be ranked last, but that doesn't mean anyone will stink up the joint. Just for kicks, now that the dust has more or less settled around the tight end market, here's a ranking of four players we're certain to discuss all season.
