Tom Brady day is being won by the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the rain and overcast, the New England Patriots haven't been able to extinguish the flame. The Birds are setting off a few fireworks at Gillette Stadium. Following a 14-play drive that took more than seven minutes off of the clock, one that ended with a Jake Elliott field goal, Philly's defense produced turnovers on back-to-back drives by New Engalnd's offense.

Both turnovers led to touchdowns. One did so immediately.

Check out a few highlights provided by the Eagles defense.

Darius Big Play Slay got off to a scorching start in 2022. That may be the case this season as well. On the Patriots first offensive drive. He picked off a Mac Jones pass, one that came by way of the deflection. He did the rest on the way to the end zone.

Not to be outdone, one of the young guys, Jordam Davis, forced a fumble on the first play on the Pats' second drive. He knocked that one out of Ezekiel Elliott's hands. DeVonta Smith hauled one in off of Jalen Hurts' arm four plays later.

Let's make long stories shorter. There are a full three quarters remaining at the time of this story's publishing. The Eagles are rolling in Week 1.
