Eagles inactives list, injury tracker for Week 11 game against Chiefs: Derek Barnett sits this one out
If it seems like it has been forever since the Philadelphia Eagles have played a football game, it's because it has been, sort of. 15 days is a long time in pro football, and when Philly finally kicks off their Week 11 clash versus the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, MORE than 15 days will have elapsed since Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was stopped short of the goal line.
The bye came at a good time. Jalen Hurts has gotten healthier. He has removed the brace from his knee. Second-year offensive lineman Cam Jurgens and safety Justin Evans are off of injured reserve and back on the Eagles roster. Dallas Goedert, though healing from a forearm fracture, was never added to Philly's injured reserve.
As a matter of fact, Philly's most recent injury report is as clean as their list of wounded players has been in a while. Check it out.
Seeing Grant Calcaterra and Bradley Roby back in the lineup is a sight for sore eyes. Philly will name their Week 11 inactives before kickoff. One of their defensive ends has already been ruled out.
Eagles injury news: Derek Barnett will miss Week 11's Monday Night Football game.
Boston Scott is back in the Eagles lineup. He missed Week 9's game due to personal reasons. Derek Barnett, per an official team report, will do the same in Week 11. We hope that everything is okay in both instances.
Eagles rookie Nolan Smith is expected to see more playing time in Barnett's absence. So far this season, he has collected seven total tackles and a sack in Philly's first nine games. He has played 52% of the special teams snaps.
The Eagles and Chiefs will announce their Week 11 inactives 90 minutes before kickoff. Updates will be listed below.
Update: Eagles elevate linebacker Ben VanSumeren from the practice squad for tonight's game. Both Philly and the Chiefs announce their Week 11 inactives.
