Eagles news: Jordan Mailata gets married then sings at his reception
If you're reading this and are unmarried, hopefully, you will be at some point... if that's your desire. Everyone has different tastes. Some of you are enjoying the single life and spending time getting to know yourselves. There's nothing wrong with that, but if spending the rest of your life with that special someone is a personal goal, we hope you can achieve such. It's truly a beautiful thing. Just ask Philadelphia Eagles star left tackle Jordan Mailata.
As this story is being written, the 4th of July approaches. Many are enjoying vacations and some much-needed time off. Jordan is enjoying his honeymoon somewhere. He tied the knot on July's first Saturday, a night he'll remember forever. Then, at his reception, another highlight of a beautiful evening occurred. He stepped to the microphone and poured his heart out.
Jordan Mailata sings at his wedding reception in front of family, friends, and a few Eagles teammates.
Sometimes, words don't have the same effect as a picture, or in this case a video. They are worth a thousand words you know. Check out Jordan Mailata singing Stevie Wonder's classic 'Isn't She Lovely' to his beautiful wife as she dances with her father at his wedding.
Some of his Eagles teammates showed up to show their support!
What's that? No, those aren't tears. We aren't crying. We must have gotten something in our eyes over here.
When his playing days are over and Jordan Mailata hangs up the cleats for good, hopefully he'll be doing so with a Pro Football Hall of fame resume and a couple of Super Bowl rings (or more). From where we're sitting, this feels like the prefect guy to make a biopic about. He's a proud Samoan and Australian that made a name for himself as a rugby star before being drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
If that doesn't scream 'motion picture', nothing will. We wish him and his beautiful wife the best, and we'll keep both eyes on NUmber 68 as the Eagles navigate the coming season.
