Eagles legend LeSean McCoy gives Saquon Barkley and Sirianni his approval
We'll be honest with you. Sometimes, combing through the endless streams of Philadelphia Eagles content can be annoying. So, sometimes, we validate ourselves by listening to guys who agree with us instead of spending time listening to debates. Oh, don't act like we're the only ones who do so.
Some of you spend all day on MSNBC for the same reasons. Those who disagree with their takes watch FOX News. You like people who think like you too. Who knows? Maybe most of the people in this great nation rank affirmation over information.
What does that have to do with the Birds you ask? Well, it's simple. That's a huge reason why we spend so many afternoons watching SPEAK.
One of FS1's most popular shows is co-hosted by Philly's all-time leading rusher, LeSean McCoy. Yep! We can always count on Shady to defend our Birds.
Recently, he did so again. The subjects on this occassion? Saquon Barkley and Nick Sirianni. Yep! You're going to want to hear what he had to say.
LeSean McCoy has zero issues with the Saquon Barkley acquisition and isn't lacking any confidence in Nick Sirianni.
It isn't often that guys get compared to the Eagles' all-time leading rusher LeSean McCoy. It isn't often that guys get mentioned in the same breath as Saquon Barkley. Frankly, neither scenario should happen often. We're talking about one of the great backs of a generation potentially and one of the greatest Eagles tailbacks ever.
But, we can cn compare them to each other, right? Well, we have been beaten to the punch. Jeffrey Lurie did so during a sit-down with the media at the annual NFL meeting.
The news got back to Shady. He seems to be cool with the take, per his words on a recent episode of FS1's highly-popular SPEAK. In addition to that, he offered a stamp of approval for Nick Sirianni.
Take a look.
McCoy stacked 6,792 rushing yards, 44 rushing TDs, and another 2,282 yards to go along with ten receiving TDs during his six years in the City of Brotherly Love. He added another rushing TD and 147 yards to his resume during three postseason games.
Saquon is going to have to do a lot of work if he's going to catch up in the Eagles record books. Syre, we doubt it happens, but you never know. Stranger things have happened.
