Both are members of the Philadelphia Eagles fraternity. Both are certain to forever be remembered as the best players of their respective eras, but sadly, Brian Westbrook and Lane Johnson never shared the field as teammates. Still, they have more in common than you realize.
They respect one another's game. Westbrook has already been inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame. Lane is sure to join him there one day, but they are still companion pieces in another fraternity. Both added another feather to their cap recently.
Eagles legends Brian Westbrook and Lane Johnson are inducted into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame.
Each year, the Senior Bowl gives rising NFL prospects the opportunity to showcase their talents on the gridiron one last time in a competitive game setting before they are added to an interested franchise's roster.
Brian Westbrook, a former star at a basketball school, Villanova, cut his teeth there. So did the game's best right tackle, Lane Johnson. Recently, the Senior Bowl announced its 2023 Hall of Fame class, Lane and Brian were inducted.
That information didn't elude either of them. Take a look.

Before he notched two Pro Bowl nods with the Philadelphia Eagles, Brian Westbrook was a two-time A-10 Offensive Player of the Year. He was the first football player in the program's history to earn First-Team All-American honors in three different seasons,
Lane Johnson was a Second-team All-Big 12 nod in 2012. He has earned two First-Team All-Pro nods (2017, 2022), a Second-team All-Pro designation (2021), and a spot on four Pro Bowl rosters since entering the NFL as the fourth overall selection in 2013.
Congratulations to both on their recent honor. Both are truly deserving.
