At one point of the Philadelphia Eagles' second preseason game, there were times when we started asking a question. Why isn't Dylan McMahon playing more? It was obvious he was better than we expected.

Certain things about Philly's offensive line had become relatively obvious early. Among other things, we figured out that Mekhi Becton won a starting job.

We also noticed Matt Hennessy fell out of favor, and Trevor Keegan was pretty good. We thought McMahon would make the initial 53-man roster, but he was waived during final roster cuts.

Philly had made its plan known. They'd try to sneak McMahon through waivers, bring him back, and add him to the practice squad. Their plan worked, sort of. After one week of NFL action, he'll continue his career on the Left Coast.

Eagles news: Dylan McMahon heads west

As you can see below, the Rams have announced they signed McMahon off Philly's practice squad. He's now on their active roster, and just like that, the 2024 sixth-rounder trades green for royal blue and sol.

We'll see how he does on another roster. We wish him luck. Sometimes, this is how it goes. Philly is set at center with Cam Jurgens. McMahon was never going to start here, but he maybe could have been a decent reserve.

Perhaps time will tell. One thing is certain. We'll be watching Rams games closely.

Here's something else of note. The Eagles juggled their practice squad on Wednesday.

More Eagles news: Vic Fangio answers many questions we had about Philly's defense.

"Nakobe is the starter". There you have it. Regardless of when Devin White is medically cleared from his ankle injury to return to action, Nakobe Dean will remain the starter because, as Vic Fangio says "He won the job".

Coach Fangio sat with the Philly media for just under ten minutes on Wednesday as Philly prepares for the Atlanta Falcons. He also offered some insight on a few other things that Eagles fans might find interesting.

Pay close attention to that first nugget. Coach spoke of Brandon Graham, informing the captain that this isn't some sort of farewell tour or victory lap. The 15-year veteran is going to play.

He played more defensive snaps than Huff and Nolan Smith. We'll see how things unfold as the season moves on.
