2. Brian Daboll, New York Giants

Brian Daboll has only coached in New York for one season and has already made a positive impact on the franchise. Entering 2022, the Giants had not had a winning record since 2012 and had gone through three unsuccessful coaching hires since the resignation of two-time Super Bowl champion head coach Tom Coughlin.

Brian Daboll took over a team that won just four games in 2021. He had to make important decisions at quarterback and had to find a way to get a depleted roster to win games. With a successful draft and free agency, the Giants started off 2022 at 6-1 before finishing the season with a 9-7-1 record.

One of the issues Daboll had was his team struggled against the NFC East. Last season, the Giants were winless against both the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. They managed a win and a tie against the Washington Commanders.

Versus other competition, New York was very good. They won their first playoff game since the 2011 season by defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round. They were then blown out by the Eagles in the Divisional Round at Lincoln Financial Field.

New York will be a team to watch in 2023. Daboll has steadied the ship and looks to make a jump in his second season much like Sirianni did a year before. The Giants gave their quarterback Daniel Jones a contract extension and still have one of the best running backs in the league, Saquan Barkley. The latter will be playing on a franchise tag.
