And, just like that, a familiar face is gone. Prior to their first public practice of the summer, one scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at Lincoln Financial Field, the Philadelphia Eagles have announced three roster moves.

Davion Taylor, Philly's third-round draft choice from 2020's selection meeting, has been released... for now. Don't be shocked if he's back at some point. When the Birds are in a pinch, if injuries occur or they need bodies to fill a need, they typically call guys they know. Taylor coule be back at some point, maybe even on the practice squad.

Two other roster moves are announced by the Eagles in addition to Davion Taylor's release.

Philadelphia has also announced that they are waiving wide receiver Charleston Rambo. That allowed them to sign offensive lineman Josh Andrews. This is his third stint with the Eagles. He was with Philly from 2014 through 2017 and in 2018 as a member of the team's practice squad.

With the available spot on the 90-man roster left by Davion Taylor, the belief is the Birds will fill the void by activating Josh Sills when he returns to the NovaCare Complex now that his legal issues are at an end. Then again, they could make a move at linebacker (see below).

Charleston Rambo had been with Philly since May. Davion Taylor appeared in 21 games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and made seven starts. He made 51 tackles, including 31 of the solo variety. He also has two forced fumbles on his resume.

Update: The Eagles have announced the signings of Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham. Forget what we said earlier about a possible Davion Taylor return.

Here are a few other Eagles stories to keep you busy.
