Another game begins. There's another chance to evaluate the rookies and the guys on the back half of the roster. For Johnny Wilson, his evaluation will have to wait a week. He's in the NFL's concussion protocol.

He has enjoyed a good summer. Fingers are crossed that he'll be back in time for the preseason finale in a week, but for now the goal is to get healthy

Here's a quick refresher on Eagles rookie Johnny Wilson.

Just in case you need a reminder of who Johnny Wilson is, he's a six-foot-six, 228-pounder from Los Angeles, California. He cut his teeth collegiately at Florida State with the Seminoles. A 2022 Second-Team All-ACC nod, he received Third-Team All-ACC honors in 2023.

He has impressed and has seemingly passed fellow rookie receiver Ainias Smith on the Eagles depth chart. In Week 1 versus the Baltimore Ravens, he was targeted three times and caught one pass for seven yards.

How about a hand for Avonte Maddox?

When the Eagles take a look at this game film, they will find things to praise and learn from. That's common, but the first two drives of their game versus the New England Patriots will provide tons of teaching tape. How about a hand for Avonte Maddox?

Though most of us believe he'll make the initial 53-man roster, there are a lot of questions about him. On the second Pats drive, he answered a few.

Sure, he's had his share of injuries. Sure, in that regard, it feels more like a matter of 'when' than 'if', but here's what we can say about the veteran ahead of his seventh NFL season.

He is Philly's most experienced slot cornerback. He is also learning to play safety. When he's healthy, he is a good player. This interception helps strengthen his case for a roster spot.
