Eagles rumors: LeSean McCoy could be Skip Bayless' next co-host on FS1's Undisputed
An era is ending. For those that have been paying attention, the writing has been on the wall for a while. Once Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe began airing their grievances publicly on FS1's highly-popular brand Undisputed, it was evident that their working relationship had deteriorated. Then, came an announcement. Shannon will indeed leave once the NBA Finals end. Questions are being asked about who might replace him. What if we told you the new co-host could be someone that Philadelphia Eagles fans know well? What if we told you LeSean McCoy's name has been thrown into the mix?
Many of the respected sports voices have weighed in on some level to discuss this. Stephen A Smith even lamented he'd support any decisions that ended with him joining ESPN's First Take (but only if Sharpe was added in some rotational capacity). FS1 may have other plans.
Sound the horns. Ring the bells, The rumor mill is churning, and several outlets including Front Office Sports believe that LeSean McCoy could be the choice. He is seemingly in the running with Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, Nick Wright, Keyshawn Johnson, Max Kellerman, and possibly Michael Irvin.
Who's ready for some early-morning Eagles versus Cowboys debates featuring Skip Bayless and LeSean McCoy?
Again, to Eagles fans, LeSean McCoy needs no introduction. The all-time leading rusher in franchise history, Shady spent six years in the midnight green.
Three of his six Pro Bowl nods came during that tour of duty. So did his pair of First-Team All-Pro nods. He also led the NFL in rushing yards in 2013. He was pro football's rushing touchdowns leader in 2011, and he is a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
These days, he's a co-host of FS1's Speak. Joining Undisputed would be another step up the ladder in what has been a good post-NFL career so far.
We'll see what happens in the coming weeks, but here's what we think. Who isn't down for some early morning arguments between unapologetic Eagles and Cowboys homers during the coming NFL season?
