Eagles shuffle their practice squad roster ahead of Week 8 road date versus Commanders
Part of what makes football so much different than other sports is we never really get enough of it. Just take the NFL and our Philadelphia Eagles for example. The season just started and the regular season is about halfway over. The Birds made a statement versus the Miami Dolphins, and now, the attention shifts to Philly's second battle with the Washington Commanders since we turned the calendar from September to October.
Dang... Can you believe that November has popped up already? We'll be talking about Thanksgiving before you know it.
The Eagles shuffle their practice squad roster on Wednesday, just four days ahead of another divisional clash with the Commanders.
If we're being honest, we have no idea why we smile every time we see Noah Elliss's name. Maybe it's because we like seeing being space-eaters in the middle of Philly's defensive line. Maybe it's just cool to see two siblings living out their dreams and playing football together at the professional level. That has to be cool (Eagles linebacker Christian Elliss is his older brother. Long-time NFL defensive tackle Luther Elliss is their father). Long story short, Noah is back.
Philly announced two other moves as well on Wednesday morning.

Elliss was placed on Philly's injured reserve on August 19th. He was released on August 28th, but he's back. We'll see how things progress.
As you can see, former Penn State Nittany Lions star/linebacker Brandon Smith returns. He was signed to Philly's practice squad on October 12th and was released on October 20th. The Birds have released cornerback Tiawan Mullen in a subsequent move.
Philly currently has seven cornerbacks on the active roster (James Bradberry, Josiah Scott, Darius Slay, Josh Jobe, Eli Ricks, Kelee Ringo, and Bradley Roby). Isaiah Rodgers is on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list. Mekhi Garner, Kindle Vildor, and Mario Goodrich are on the practice squad. Avonte Maddox and Zech McPhearson are on the injured reserve.
