Maybe it's Eliot Shorr-Parks' fault for this being so big of a story, but Jalen Hurts' streak of consecutive training camp passes without an interception has become the stuff of legend. It isn't like the defense hasn't tried to disrupt him or he hasn't been aggressive either. The Philadelphia Eagles' franchise signal-caller is looking the part, and you can best believe everyone is aware.
The count currently stands at 15 consecutive practices without a pick. During the most recent, ESP tallied him as completing 23 of 28 passes with a touchdown toss. That one was a well-placed ball that landed in DeVonta Smith's hands with Kelee Ringo in coverage.
Mekhi Becton, E.J. Jenkins, and Joseph Ngata all returned from injury. That was good news, but that was overshadowed by unexpected and early exits by both Saquon Barkley and Trevor Keegan. Fingers are crossed that they will be okay and return to the practice field.
Saquon was signing autographs after practice. That doesn't guarantee much, but it could suggest that he is okay and that taking him out of practice was a precaution.
Eagles practice notes: Avonte Maddox almost ends Jalen Hurts' streak
At this point, we're all either pulling for Jalen Hurts to complete a full slate of training camp practices without throwing an interception, or the agent of chaos living inside of us is placing wagers on who might be the person to end his streak. If you placed your money on Avonte Maddox, you almost made a couple of dollars today.
We missed practice. Still, as you might expect, many members of the Philly media were there. So, all we had to do was plug in. NBC Sports Philly's John Clark attended. Avonte enjoyed a nice pick in the end zone of Jacoby Brissett in Week 2 of the preseason, and he came oh so close to keeping the mojo going on Tuesday.
Avonte Maddox should’ve had an interception on Jalen Hurts trying to connect with AJ Brown. Maddox dropped it so he did pushups.

15 training camp practices are in the books. Two remain before the Philly hosts the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason finale and begins trimming the roster from 90 men to the league-mandated 53 players (at the time of this story's release, Philly only has 89 men on the preseason roster).
