Eagles to unveil never-before-seen jersey combination for regular-season opener
Here's a confession. We like fashion. We talk about the Philadelphia Eagles and football every day, so the worlds won't often mesh. There are those occasions, however, when we're hanging out on social media and someone shows up in a cool suit. You know what happens next in those instances. We grab a flick or we repost one and try to say something clever about it in the headline.
Malcolm Jenkins was a nice follow back in the day. Fletcher Cox did his thing. We'll even tip the cap for Jason Kelce's flip flops. Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith have provided some cool pregame content, but this time around, we're discussing jerseys.
The Birds and Green Bay Packers meet on September 6 in Brazil to play football. There were rumors they'd both be disallowed from wearing green. The NFL denied those reports, but the dress code is set. It seems to be one we haven't seen our Eagles wear before.
The Eagles will wear black helmets and pants in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the regular-season opener versus the Packers.
The 'fit check' is complete. Philly meets The Pack in Brazil, and the Birds are wearing a new uniform combination. Black helmets... White jerseys... Black pants... It's a combo we haven't seen before.
As it turns out, Corinthians Stadium has an unspoken green color ban on the color during soccer games because it is the color of their main rival there. That's cool. The black-and-white look on the Birds will take some getting used to for a quarter or so, but we'll make it work. We care more about a win and a 1-0 start to the season and a happy flight home for the good guys!
