Eagles vs. Buccaneers final score prediction for Monday Night Football in Week 3

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to move to 3-0 on the season on Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

Philly has been off for awhile after playing Thursday Night Football in Week 2, but the team is favored by five points against the 2-0 Bucs. 

Tampa Bay has picked up two impressive wins to open the season, especially since the team was pegged to take a step back without Tom Brady. Baker Mayfield has filled in nicely in 2023, finding Mike Evans for 12 catches and two scores so far this season. 

After allowing 28 points in a win in Week 2, the Eagles are hoping they can slow down this Tampa Bay attack to pick up a third straight win.

Oddsmakers expect the Eagles to win this game by five points, but they’ll need their defense to step up for that to happen. 

Philly is just 28th in yards per play allowed this season (Tampa Bay is 18th), so it can afford another shootout like it had in Week 2 where it failed to cover as a 6.5-point favorite against the Vikings. 

The key in this game will be the Eagles’ passing game. Tampa Bay allows just 3.3 yards per carry this season, so Jalen Hurts is going to need to use his arm to beat this Bucs team. 

I think he can, especially after putting together a solid showing in Week 2. 

Even though Tampa Bay is 2-0 on the season, I don’t really trust this Bucs team just yet. They beat the 0-3 Vikings and 0-3 Chicago Bears in their first two games, and now they have to take on arguably the best roster in all of football. 

I picked the Eagles to win – and to cover – in my straight up and against the spread picks this week. 

So, I think they get there with a 31-20 victory.
