Once we saw A.J. Brown sit out of three consecutive Philadelphia Eagles practice sessions, we pretty much knew how things would shake out. The Birds released their Wild Card Round status report on Saturday. We saw what we expected to see. Philly's Pro Bowl wide receiver will sit out of the first round of the NFL Playoffs.

A.J. left Philly's regular-season finale early in the first half with a knee injury.

Darius Slay makes his return to the Eagles lineup (as promised). Reed Blankenship and A.J. Brown are out of the Wild Card Round game.

Slay has kept his promise. During the most recent episode of his Big Play Slay podcast, he announced he'd be back on the field for the coming playoff game. Thankfully, team doctors seem to agree.

Philly will also be without Sydney Brown. He unfortunately ruptured an ACL versus the New York Giants which will end his rookie season. Cam Jurgens is also back despite leaving Week 18's game after taking a finger in the eye.

Fletcher Cox and D'Andre Swift will play on Monday. Both were healthy scratches during the regular-season finale. Reed Blankenship will also sit out. He's trying to work his way back from a groin injury.

The Eagles and Buccaneers release their gameday inactives 90 minutes before kickoff.
