The Jonathan Gannon Bowl on New Year's Eve should be intriguing.

Late gift arrivals: Jalen Hurts plays turnover-free football and earns a near-perfect quarterback rating.

The Eagles have to eliminate the self-inflicted wounds. Lately, it seems like they can't help themselves. They aren't consistently playing smart football. They stacked nine penalties in Week 16 that set them back 65 yards,

Jalen Hurts can't be blamed for all of that, but he can be criticized for yet another interception. He clearly isn't taking care of the ball like he was a season ago, but he knows that. We expect a better-looking effort in Week 17. We're calling for a turnover-free day, three TD tosses, and a near-perfect QB rating.

Late gift arrivals: Eagles cover the spread and earn double-digit victory

There's talent all over the Eagles roster. The Cards have some ballers but not as many. The Eagles are favored by double digits, as they should be. Jalen Hurts was mentioned as an MVP candidate last year and this year.

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are the best wide receiver duo in football. The Cards don't have the horses to run with the Birds. At least that's the theory.

At the time this story was published, FanDuel favored Philly by 10.5 points. That sounds about right, and after the past month, we could use a decisive victory. We're thinking 31-17 in favor of the Birds.
