Eagles vs. Seahawks: Start, sit options as Fantasy football playoffs begin
By Larry Rupp
Start: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR (Seattle Seahawks)
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been riding on many Fantasy benches this season, but now is the time to slide him into a starting spot. Philadelphia tends to focus on taking away deep threats and that leaves the middle of the field open for shifty players like Smith-Njigba to pick apart all game long.
Remember that 319 of the rookie's 493 yards have come after the catch, which shows he can use his speed and elusiveness to break tackles. It wouldn't be surprising to see him gather more targets than usual as the Eagles have given up the most catches to opposing receivers (206).
It's worth mentioning that Smith-Njigba has seen more red zone targets than Tyler Lockett over the last six weeks, too. Philadelphia has been torched by opposing wide receivers for 23 touchdowns in 13 games. That is the highest mark of any NFL squad and could be the chief reason why Smith-Njigba provides WR2 upside.
