Football was fun in Week 7! We thought we might see a bounce-back win by our Philadelphia Eagles after a tough loss a week ago. That's exactly what we were treated to. Most importantly, they remain atop the National Football Conference.

Would you believe a loss would have thrown them into a first-place tie with an idle Dallas Cowboys team in the NFC East?

'Kelly Green Night' was a success! The Birds walk out of yet another prime time appearance as the owners of a 31-17 victory.

The Eagles will celebrate their win over the Dolphins for a few more hours before they turn their attention to Week 8.

A few glances at the stat line and the box score should make you smile after we bore witness to an ugly Eagles loss versus the New York Jets last Sunday.

The high-powered Miami Dolphins had their moments, but they were no match for Philly. The Eagles offense dominated time of possession. They held the ball for 36:43 versus 23:17 for Miami.

The Birds committed ZERO penalties. The Fins racked up ten for 70 yards. Philly notched 5.2 yards per play (Miami only registered 5.1 yards per play). The Birds sacked Tua Tagovailoa four times. Darius Slay broke up two passes and picked off a pass that helped flip momentum back in the Eagles favor for good.

Jake Elliott made all four of his extra-point attempts and connected on a 24-yarder. Braden Mann's lone punt was uncorked for 57 yards.

Throw this one in the category of total team efforts. The Birds improved to 6-1. Next up on the schedule is a road date with the Washington Commanders. That one kicks off at 1 p.m. EST on FOX at FedExField. The Eagles' first meeting with the Dallas Cowboys follows before the Birds enter their bye in Week 10.
