Eagles wisely ink A.J. Brown to massive extension: Grades and instant analysis
The Eagles always find ways to steal the spotlight during the NFL Draft. Two years after announcing A.J. Brown's acquisition during the selection meeting's first night, Philly has raised the temperature again.
As was the case two years ago, Number 11 is one of draft night's top discussions. According to PhiladelphiaEagles.com, the Birds and Batman have agreed to a three-year extension.
The numbers are massive. The deal verifies earlier reports. The former Ole Miss Rebel will remain in Philly through the 2029 campaign.

Well... Amon Ra St. Brown was pro football's highest-paid wide receiver for a little while. A.J. Brown has now taken that mantle for himself. Check out the numbers. Three years... $96 million... $84 million guaranteed, per sources. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports "the ($32 million-per-season average) makes him the highest per-year average for any WR in NFL history.
His extension and the extension given to DeVonta Smith mean the Dynamic Duo will be in Philly and playing together for several more years. Rest easy when you place your head on the pillow tonight. There's reason for Birds fans to rest easy.
