Vad looking punt... No hang time... Philadelphia Eagles fans probably know how that mixture works out better than anyone. The Birds are in Tampa for a road game, and after stalling on their opening drive and stopping two drives by the Buccaneers offense on defense, Britain Covey showcases the tools that made him one of three undrafted rookies that made Philly's initial 53-man roster in 2022.
Bad punt... Zero hangtime... Covey makes something happen.
Just check this one out and appreciate the beauty.

That punt return by Covey was the longest by an Eagle since 2020 and HIS longest, EVER.

Let's talk a little bit more about Britain Covey.
Covey, a five-foot-eight, 173-pound speedster cut his teeth as a member of the Utah Utes in 2015 and from 2018-2021. He's come a long way from security trying to keep him out of the Eagles team parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field because they didn't recognize him.
He was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster following Philly's second game. It appears that decision is already paying dividends. There's a long way to go in Tampa, but the Birds are looking good.
Jake tacked on a field goal to put the Eagles up by a 3-0 score with a little over three minutes to go in the first quarter.
