First and second-year Eagles projected to start in 2023

There are new faces on the Eagles roster, both young and old, and many will play significant roles in Philadelphia's success during the 2023 NFL season.

Don't be shocked when Jalen Carter and Sydney Brown crack the defensive starting lineup at some point of the 2023-2024 Eagles season.

Jalen Carter, interior defensive lineman

The Eagles' offense and defense are both loaded with talent, so much so that many have been negligent in acknowledging that Philly added the man some believe to be the most recent draft's best player. Why is Hades aren't people talking about Jalen Carter more often?

Jalen Carter's character has been questioned a few times since March, but Philly's vice president of team security/chief security officer Dom DiSandro gave him the approval seal. Carter wouldn't be here otherwise. Let's make long stories short. If Dom is in, we're in.

Buckle up. The Birds landed a special talent at the ninth-overall selection. Many believed he had the talent to be drafted first. Friends, he will contribute immediately and be great for years to come.

The wild card: Sydney Brown, safety

While Terrell Edmunds and Reed Blankenship figure to place their fingerprints all over the Eagles' defensive secondary, Sydney Brown is someone we can't stop talking about. He plays with his hair on fire, and with proper coaching, he could morph into one of the above-average sideline-to-sideline players in the game.

It's doubtful that he'll crack the starting lineup in year one unless there's an unforeseen injury, but keep an eye on him. He could be special for quite some time. He also seemingly already possesses the traits we had hoped K'Von Wallace would demonstrate.

The offensive and defensive side of the ball features some fresh-faced veterans as well.
