Derek Barnett, Defensive End, Houston Texans

In the City of Brotherly Love and the minds of Eagles fans who live in other parts of the country, Derek Barnett will be forever remembered as a first-round bust. There's no need to revisit why we believe that. Those discussions have gone on for a while.

Here's the thing. We all wondered how we'd feel once he left if his career was to take off elsewhere. Believe it or not, we may have to have that discussion one day. He's off to a nice start with the Houston Texans.

His first six games in Houston have produced three starts. 19 tackles and 2.5 sacks have been the result. You can't make this stuff up.

Jonathan Gannon and the former Eagles who are now in Arizona

We won't lie to you. As much as we tried to convince ourselves that we didn't care about what was going on in Arizona, every time the Cardinals were on television, we couldn't help but tune in to see what they were doing.

They didn't win a lot, but they beat the Eagles in Philadelphia. Good gracious. How ironic is it that Jonathan Gannon and Arizona delivered the most embarrassing loss in recent memory?

J.G. is their head coach. Former Eagles linebacker coach Nick Rallis is their defensive coordinator. Zach Pascal is over there. Andre Chachere and Kyzir White are over there too. The latter hasn't played since Week 11 and is on injured reserve, but their presence on the roster alone makes the Cards more interesting than they should be.
