Former Eagles will join Michael Vick as part of his docuseries on black QBs
If you had no knowledge of the NFL's history and took a glance around the current landscape, you'd never know that this was a once league that once slighted and ignored African-American men who had the ability to play the quarterback position. Disrespect was commonplace. Ignorance was common, but as has often been the case during our beloved game's history, our beloved Philadelphia Eagles were forward-thinking.
Randall Cunningham was the 37th-overall selection of the 1985 NFL Draft. He joined the nest and eventually became the starter. Since then, we have seen several other capable signal-callers man the controls of Philly's offense: Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Vince Young, Jalen Hurts.
Michael Vick's new docuseries will feature other former Eagles quarterbacks.
We've known about this for a while, but it's been a minute since it has been mentioned. The first announcement of Michael Vick's ode the African-American quarterback came in January 2022.
We have a trailer now, and if you love them like we do, heed this next bit of advice. Prepare for the adrenaline rush, and if you're very excitable, you may want to sit down.
Vick, his wife Kijafa Vick, SMAC Productions’ Constance Schwartz-Morini, and Fubo Studios’ David Gandler and Pamela Duckworth serve as the eight-part series' executive producers. Thank SMAC Productions–Fubo Studios for helping him piece this one together.
Fred Anthony Smith is the vice president of non-scripted at SMAC Entertainment. He serves as the director. Everything begins on September 24. This one is definitely worth your time.
