Former Eagles WR Quez Watkins lands with the cross-state Steelers
The Quez Watkins era in the City of Brotherly Love is officially over. With that, the third wide receiver taken by the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFL Draft class that included three players the Birds had hoped would man the position for years to come is gone. His tenure outlasted that of John Hightower and Jalen Reagor, but like them, he will move on.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Fast Batman is signing with the cross-state Pittsburgh Steelers. he leaves Philly having racked 98 receptions, 1,249 yards receiving, and six touchdowns in 49 regular-season games with 25 starts.
Quez also hauled in another six receptions that resulted in 55 yards during five playoff games, but he now joins Russell Wilson, Mike Tomlin, and the Black and Gold in an attempt to make good on all the potential we've always been told he possesses.
