Dalton Risner, Offensive Guard

The Eagles are deep along the offensive line, but questions have been raised about what they might do at the right guard position. Landon Dickerson is a solid left guard. Cam Jurgens will be given every opportunity to win a starting job on the right side.

Tyler Steen has the potential to be a positive contributor in his rookie season. Sua Opeta is in the mix. So is Tyreese Robertson. Adding some insurance could be wise.

Dalton Risner spent his first four seasons in the NFL as a member of the Denver Broncos. They let him walk during the offseason, but adding him to the Eagles' O-line would give them another offensive lineman with starting experience.

Risner has accrued 3,775 snaps at left guard. He is a skilled pass blocker but needs to improve his skill in the running game. Calling him a liability, however, would be inaccurate.

Even with limited upside in the running game, Risner would be a worthy addition to the Eagles' offense. He is also a veteran presence at the guard position, one where Philly doesn't have much.
