Kwon Alexander, Linebacker

The Eagles don't invest much capital into building the linebacker position often. They could still stand to make another addition to the position group. Of the remaining free-agent option at the position, Kwon Alexander is one of the best linebackers the Eagles could add.

While not elite in any aspect of his game, Alexander can provide value as a pass rusher or in coverage. He has produced five sacks and 19 quarterback hurries over the past three seasons. He has also broken up six passes while tallying an interception during that same time span.

Alexander can also play multiple positions. Under Jeff Ulbrich and Robert Saleh's tutelage last season, he played 44 snaps along the defensive line, 386 in the box, and 126 snaps in the slot. This versatility allows defensive coordinators to utilize the linebacker in whatever role they need him.

From a depth chart's perspective, Alexander would add starting experience to the position group. He could challenge the likes of Nicholas Morrow for playing time, and at the very worst, he could also slide into a backup role. His versatility makes him valuable.
