The regular season has arrived, and boy, are we grateful. We've watched the Philadelphia Eagles play three preseason games that didn't contribute to the win-loss total... And, we're exhausted, but in a good way. That was a grind mentally.

Two of those games offered about as exciting a finish as a game that doesn't count can, but the third... Well... That was as boring as we'd expect a preseason game to be (and that's putting things mildly.

August ended, and September arrived (finally). Everything counts from here on out. The NFL didn't make Week 1 easy for our Birds though.

They were asked to travel outside the country and face one of the game's up-and-coming teams. Listen to this one if you can't watch it.

Game Details

Philly tackles the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 of the 2024-25 NFL season, This is the 47th meeting between the two. The Pack holds a 28-18 advantage in the overall series.

The first meeting (1933) resulted in a 35-9 Packers win. The most recent was an Eagles 40-33 win in 2022. A Green Bay loss in 1960 resulted in an NFL Championship for the good guys.

The stakes won't be as high on Friday, but the game is important. Both sides seek a 1-0 start.
